If attachments were filed together with the notes, obsidian would be perfect for me, because everything is stored local and independent of obsidian it will look great in your files explorer. So when another great up comes up (cause it will) then I can’t find the attachments that where linked to that page or project. Obsidian offers local markdown files which is awesome, the problem with that is the attachments, they go on a separate folder. I learned then that all the info you put in notion, pretty much dies in notion, you can export it but navigating through the exported files is messy. I miss it, but then there is always a new app that comes and I have to try… so I switched to obsidian.
